How NavOnDemand Works

We believe that every person with cancer deserves access to clear information, thoughtful guidance, and a knowledgeable partner who can help you navigate your care journey. 

Our navigators work alongside—not in place of—your healthcare team to help you feel more confident and prepared every step of the way. 


How it Works: 

1. Connect With a Navigator
Contact us to schedule a virtual session at a time that works for you. You’ll be matched with an experienced oncology navigator who understands the realities of cancer care.  


2. Share What Matters Most to You
During your first session, your navigator will listen to your story, understand your concerns and priorities, and learn where you need the most help—whether that’s organizing information, preparing for appointments, or managing complex logistics. 


3. Get Personalized Guidance
Our navigators provide practical, nonclinical support tailored to your situation.  

Your navigator can help you:  

Prepare for Appointments 

  • Clarifying what you most want to discuss with your care team 
  • Helping you create a list of questions to bring to your visits 
  • Organizing test results, reports, or notes so they are easier to review 

Organize Information 

  • Tracking appointments, tests, and treatments in one place 
  • Helping you understand and keep up with care plans 
  • Creating simple systems to manage important documents 

Improve Communication and DecisionMaking 

  • Helping you express your personal concerns, values, and priorities 
  • Exploring how family, work, and life circumstances may affect your care 
  • Offering tools and language to support conversations with loved ones and providers 

Navigate the Healthcare Journey 

  • Explaining common terms, roles, and processes in cancer care 
  • Helping you coordinate schedules across multiple providers and services 
  • Identifying supportive resources that may be helpful during treatment or recovery 

Our role is to guide, organize, and support—not to replace—your oncology team. We help you feel more prepared for the conversations and decisions that happen with your medical providers. 


4. Stay Supported Along the Journey
As new questions arise or situations change, your navigator remains a trusted resource—providing 

ongoing guidance to help you stay informed, organized, and confident.
